Hunan Province-based Chinese steel pipe producer Fangrui Steel Pipe Manufacturing Co. has won a tender to supply steel pipes and fitting accessories for the construction of water plant No. 2 in the town of Chengguan in Huarong County in China's Hunan Province with a bid of RMB 37 million ($6.07 million), according to local media sources. The construction project of the water plant No. 2 is linked to China's Three Gorges Dam project.

Hunan Fangrui Steel Pipe Manufacturing Co., established in June 2007, is a spiral welded pipe producer with an annual output capacity of 150,000 mt. Meanwhile, it has completed construction work on a new production line for corrosion-resistant petroleum and natural gas pipes with an annual production capacity of 50,000 mt, while its new steel coil slitting line with an annual capacity of 200,000 mt has entered its trial production phase. With its new production lines, the company's annual sales revenues are expected to increase by RMB 2 billion ($0.33 billion).
