According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkey's monthly industrial production index in September increased by 6.2% compared to that in the same month of last year. Meanwhile, the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index rose by 3.9% from August.

Furthermore, Turkish production index of the manufacturing industry in September grew by 6.2% year on year, from which that basic metals climbed by 6.5% year on year, and was up by 5.7% from the previous month while the output index of fabricated metal products increased slightly by 1.7% compared to September 2011, and surged by 24.2% from the previous month.
