The bowls feature the company's 'scround' design. They are made with recycled EcoStar materials comprising post-consumer bottles and thermoforms that have been diverted from landfills and offer recyclability message for delis to promote to consumers.

Placon claims that the crush resistant bowls are suited for fruit and veggies and feature a dip cup area that fits most major manufacturers' 4oz portion cups. The bowls also feature secure, leak-resistant 360 degree seals with lid and base tabs offset from the corners.

Placon director of sales - stock products Jeff Lucash said the company always looks to add on to its food container lines in a bid to provide its customers with a comprehensive breadth of packaging choices.

The sectioned compartments can be used for uses from cut apples and caramel dip in the fall, as gifts of gourmet nuts and chocolates for the holidays and throughout the year for olives, cheese cubes, cut fruits and veggies, the company said.
