Loves & Quiches, a dessert wholesaler, has selected Vormittag Associates' (VAI) enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, VAI S2K Enterprise, to manage its manufacturing processes and improve overall food safety controls.

Headquartered in Freeport, New York, Love & Quiches caters to the food service operators, retailers and distributors.

The company sought an ERP solution to automate and integrate its core business functions and to optimize its manufacturing processes, ensure food safety and full traceability on all of its products, and produce comprehensive reports for auditors.

Love & Quiches CFO Corey Aronin said, "All of our items are lot controlled -- from the receipt of raw materials, to the completion and storing of our finished products with full lot identification on shipments -- so we needed a solution that not only fit our complex environment, but also one that ensured the quality and safety of our products as well."

"With VAI S2K Enterprise, we are creating a transaction file based on items and lot information to produce comprehensive and highly successful reports for auditors, and the software was integral to the food safety audit we passed in June 2013," Aronin added.

S2K Enterprise allows the dessert wholesaler to identify manufacturing processes using raw material and intermediary item codes with lot control designation to locate all products and determine which ingredients were used and when.

It integrates with the technical modules used by Loves & Quiches which include inventory management, product quality and material requirement planning.
